The meeting was called at 12:11 p.m. and was attended by 12 members and two guests: Barbara Nedd, Tania Fragomeno, Brenda Gettig, Darcy Konold, Jennifer Ebner, Hannah Zhao, Rhonda Walthall, Natalie Williams, Ferdonya Henderson, Elizabeth Locano, Juan Estrada, and Don Wiggins.
· Sergeant-at-Arms Ferdonya Henderson led the Pledge of Allegiance and introduced club president Rhonda Walthall.
· Rhonda called the meeting to order, welcomed everyone in attendance and served as the meeting’s Toastmaster.
· Rhonda introduced the day’s theme and word of the week. She asked for self-introductions of those present.
o Theme: Oh, The Places I’ve Been
o Word of the Week: Autochthonous
· Rhonda introduced the day’s speakers.
o Speaker #1, Brenda Gettig, presented speech CC #8, titled “Are You An Innie Or An Outie?”
o Speaker #2, Barbara Nedd, presented speech CC #2, titled “Walking And Exercise.”
• Rhonda introduced Table Topics Master Don Wiggins. Don asked questions pertaining to the week’s theme and called upon Ferdonya Henderson, guest Cynthia, and guest Marvin.
• Rhonda introduced the day’s General Evaluator, Jennifer Ebner. Jennifer introduced the team of evaluators:
o Natalie Williams evaluated Speaker #1, Brenda Gettig.
o Tania Fragomeno evaluated Speaker #2, Barbara Nedd.
o Ferdonya Henderson provided the grammarian/ah counter’s report.
o Juan Estrada provided the timer’s report.
o For leadership evaluations, Brenda Gettig evaluated Rhonda and Hannah Zhao evaluated Jennifer.
• Rhonda announced best of awards:
o Best Speaker: Brenda Gettig.
o Best Evaluator: Natalie Williams.
o Best Table Topics Speaker: guest Marvin.
• Rhonda asked for announcements:
o VP of Education Darcy Konold announced that the district is looking for area governors, division leaders and assistants to those positions.
o Rhonda announced that the club’s officer elections will be held in June. New officers take post July 1.
• Rhonda adjourned the meeting at 1:02 p.m.
