Meeting Minutes - Feb 21 2007
The meeting was called at 12:08 p.m. and was attended by 11 members and one guest: Rhonda Walthall, Ferdonya Henderson, Tania Fragomeno, Jim Tucker, Jessie Wang, Hannah Zhao, Darcy Konold, Elizabeth Locano, Rob Cross, Matthew Greenbergs, Jose de la Torre, and guest Barbara Ned.
· Sergeant-at-arms Ferdonya Henderson led the Pledge of Allegiance and introduced President Rhonda Walthall.
· President Walthall opened the meeting and welcomed everyone. Today’s meeting has a full agenda, with three speakers. President introduced Toastmaster Jose de la Torre.
· Toastmaster introduced the week’s theme and WOW.
Theme: Our First Commander-in-Chief
WOW: Milieu
• Toastmaster led the meeting with self-introductions, where everyone spoke on what is their most memorable “milieu.”
• Tania Fragomeno provided the Educational Moment, sharing a pin the club recently received for having five or more new members in a given period.
· Toastmaster introduced the day’s speakers.
o Speaker #1, Rob Cross, presenting CC #3
o Speaker #2, Ferdonya Henderson, presenting ACB #6
o Speaker #3, Rhonda Walthall, presenting CC #9
• Toastmaster introduced the day’s General Evaluator, Matt Greenbergs. Matt introduced his team of evaluators:
o Jessie Wang evaluated speaker Rob Cross.
o Darcy Konold evaluated speaker Ferdonya Henderson.
o Hannah Zhao evaluated speaker Rhonda Walthall.
o Jim Tucker was Grammarian/Ah counter.
o Elizabeth Locano was Timer.
• Toastmaster announced best of awards:
o Best Speaker: Tie between Rhonda and Rob.
o Best Evaluator: Jessie.
• Toastmaster asked for guest’ comments and returned the meeting to President Walthall.
• President Walthall announced the upcoming international speech and evaluation contests, to be held March 3 and March 17. She adjourned the meeting.

The meeting was called at 12:10 p.m. and was attended by 8 members and one guest: Rhonda Walthall, Ferdonya Henderson, Tania Fragomeno, Brenda Gettig, Jim Tucker, Jessie Wang, Hannah Zhao, and Rashan Braime.
· Sergeant-at-arms Ferdonya Henderson led the Pledge of Allegiance and introduced President Rhonda Walthall.
· President Walthall opened the meeting and welcomed everyone. Today’s meeting is an evaluation contest, where the winning evaluator will go on to compete in the area contest. President introduced Toastmaster and Chief Judge Jim Tucker.
· Chief Judge introduced the week’s theme.
Theme: Valentine Candy
• Chief Judge provided the Judge’s Briefing, explaining the rules of the contest. He introduced the speaker, Brenda Gettig, presenting CC#6.
• The contestants for evaluator were Ferdonya and Rhonda. Rhonda is not competing for the area contest. While the contestants were preparing their evaluations in another room, Chief Judge interviewed the speaker.
• Club participants provided comments to Ferdonya, who will compete in the March 5 area evaluation contest.
• President announced the upcoming evaluator and speech contests. She adjourned the meeting.

The meeting was called at 12:05 p.m., and was attended by 11 members and three guests: Rhonda Walthall, Ferdonya Henderson, Tania Fragomeno, Brenda Gettig, Jim Tucker, Jessie Wong, Jennifer Ebner, Rob Cross, Darcy Konold, Matt Greenbergs and Frida Vissuet, and guests Rashan, Julia, and Christina.
· Vice President of Education Darcy Konold called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
· President Rhonda Walthall was Toastmaster and opened the meeting and welcomed everyone. Julia from Stadium Toastmasters was present and distributed a questionnaire to help her gather information for her guest speech to Century Toastmasters.
· Toastmaster introduced the week’s theme and WOW.
Theme: Charles Dickens
WOW: Commix
Toastmaster welcomed members and guests and asked for self-introductions of those present.
· Toastmaster introduced the day’s speakers.
o Speaker #1, Jennifer Ebner, presenting CC #3
o Speaker #2, Darcy Konold, presenting the icebreaker speech again.
• Toastmaster introduced Table Topics Master Jim Tucker. Jim called upon Tania Fragomeno, Frida Vissuet, Rob Cross, and Ferdonya Henderson.

Meeting Minutes for Jan 31 007
The meeting was called at 12:10 p.m., and was attended by 10 members and two guests: Rhonda Walthall, Ferdonya Henderson, Brenda Gettig, Jim Tucker, Jessie Wong, Don Wiggins, Darcy Konold, Natalie Williams, and Margaret Reid. Guests included Marty Dare and Maggie Ko.
· Sergeant at Arms-Ferdonya Henderson called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
· President Rhonda Walthall opened the meeting and welcomed everyone. Rhonda introduced Toastmaster Darcy Konold.
· Darcy introduced the week’s theme and WOW:
Theme: Groundhog Day
WOW: Intuition
· Darcy led the self-introductions in which everyone used the WOW or the theme.
· The Educational Moment was presented by Ferdonya Henderson, Ferdonya spoke about the role of the Sergeant-At-Arms for greeting people before each meeting.
· Darcy introduced the first scheduled speaker, Hannah Zhao. Hannah gave her ACB-10 speech from the Persuasive Speaker manual. The title of Hannah’s speech was “We Have a Mission”. Hannah spoke about her mother’s battle with breast cancer. She cited statistics for the risk for women and men to get breast cancer. She called us to action by telling us four ways we can help bring an end to breast cancer. Congratulations, Hannah, for completing your ACB-10!
· Darcy introduced the second scheduled speaker, Brenda Gettig. Brenda gave her CC-5 speech from the Competent Communicator manual. The title of Brenda’s speech was “What I Learned at Toastmasters Leadership Institute”. Brenda attended officer’s training at TLI on January 27 and she shared her thoughts and impressions of that training with us in her speech. Brenda succeeded in multi-tasking: she completed her officer’s training and she completed her CC-5 speech. Great job, Brenda!
