Meeting Minutes - Feb 21 2007

The meeting was called at 12:08 p.m. and was attended by 11 members and one guest: Rhonda Walthall, Ferdonya Henderson, Tania Fragomeno, Jim Tucker, Jessie Wang, Hannah Zhao, Darcy Konold, Elizabeth Locano, Rob Cross, Matthew Greenbergs, Jose de la Torre, and guest Barbara Ned.

· Sergeant-at-arms Ferdonya Henderson led the Pledge of Allegiance and introduced President Rhonda Walthall.
· President Walthall opened the meeting and welcomed everyone. Today’s meeting has a full agenda, with three speakers. President introduced Toastmaster Jose de la Torre.
· Toastmaster introduced the week’s theme and WOW.
Theme: Our First Commander-in-Chief
WOW: Milieu
• Toastmaster led the meeting with self-introductions, where everyone spoke on what is their most memorable “milieu.”
• Tania Fragomeno provided the Educational Moment, sharing a pin the club recently received for having five or more new members in a given period.
· Toastmaster introduced the day’s speakers.
o Speaker #1, Rob Cross, presenting CC #3
o Speaker #2, Ferdonya Henderson, presenting ACB #6
o Speaker #3, Rhonda Walthall, presenting CC #9
• Toastmaster introduced the day’s General Evaluator, Matt Greenbergs. Matt introduced his team of evaluators:
o Jessie Wang evaluated speaker Rob Cross.
o Darcy Konold evaluated speaker Ferdonya Henderson.
o Hannah Zhao evaluated speaker Rhonda Walthall.
o Jim Tucker was Grammarian/Ah counter.
o Elizabeth Locano was Timer.
• Toastmaster announced best of awards:
o Best Speaker: Tie between Rhonda and Rob.
o Best Evaluator: Jessie.
• Toastmaster asked for guest’ comments and returned the meeting to President Walthall.
• President Walthall announced the upcoming international speech and evaluation contests, to be held March 3 and March 17. She adjourned the meeting.
