Meeting Minutes for Jan 3, 2007

The meeting was called at 12:05 p.m., and was attended by 10 members and six guests:Darcy Konold, Joe Stewart, Rhonda Walthall, Ferdonya Henderson, Tania Fragomeno, Brenda Gettig, Jim Tucker, Doug Goodman, Matt Greenbergs, and Hannah Zhao.

12:05: Sergeant at Arms-Ferdonya Henderson called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
12:06: President Rhonda Walthall opened the meeting and introduced herself as the new club president. She welcomed visitors and read the club’s mission statement. Rhonda introduced Toastmaster Hannah Zhao.
12:08: Toastmaster introduced the week’s theme and WOW.
Theme: Happy New Year!
WOW: Neologism
Toastmaster welcomed members and guests and asked for self-introductions of those present.
12:20: The Educational Moment was presented by Matt Greenbergs. He discussed becoming a new member.
12:25: Toastmaster introduced the day’s speaker.
o Speaker #1, Rhonda Walthall, presenting CC #8
12:37: Toastmaster introduced Table Topics Master Ferdonya Henderson. Ferdonya called upon Jim Tucker, Brenda Gettig, guest Marty, and Matt Greenbergs.
12:45: Toastmaster introduced the day’s General Evaluator, Darcy Konold. Darcy introduced her team of evaluators:
o Tania Fragomeno evaluated speaker Rhonda Walthall.
o Joe Stewart was Grammarian/Ah counter.
o Doug Goodman was Timer.
12:56: Toastmaster announced best of awards:
o Best Speaker: Rhonda Walthall.
o Best Evaluator: Tania Fragomeno.
o Best Table Topics Speaker: guest Marty
1:00: Madame President adjourned the meeting.
