Minutes

The meeting was called at 12:05, and was attended by twenty one members, guests and new guests, including: Matt Greenbergs, Jose de la Torre, Doug Goodman, Molly Frisbie, Jim Tucker, Stephen Jaworski, Frida Vissuet, Joe Stewart, Jesse Wang, Dick Larkin, John Davis, Darcy Konold, Juan Estrada, Tony Vigo, Susan Perez, Fabio Bottalico, Jennifer Ebner, Rob Cross, Jose Mascorro, Paul Pitt, Bach Phan, Eileen Hope and Cathie Montie.
12:06 President Darcy Konold led the pledge of allegiance.
12:07 Darcy greeted the audience and welcomed the Toastmaster of the Day, Doug Goodman.
12:08 The Toastmaster introduced the theme of the day ("Spring Break",) and WOW. ("Equinoctial - Occurring at near the time when the sun crosses the celestial equator; pertaining to the equinox when the days and nights are equal. Doug invited the audience to introduce themselves using the them of the day and WOW, which were well used during the introductions.
12:26 Jim Tucker welcomed Eileen Hope, DTM. District 5 Governor, a TM dignitary.
12:29 Doug Goodman welcome to the lectern Stephen Jaworski with an educational moment.
12:29: Stephen explain what a TM point of order means.
12:27 Toastmaster introduced the first scheduled speaker, Frida Vissuet. Frida's speech was CTM-6, and the topic "the 1st time my daughter was afraid."
12:40 Toastmaster introduced the second scheduled speaker, Fabio Bottalico. Fabio's speech was CTM-1, his 1st Icebreaker.
12:48 Doug introduced the General Evaluator, Matt Greenbergs.
12:49 Matt called his team of evaluators:
Molly evaluated Frida.
Darcy evaluated Fabio.
Dick Larkin was was the Grammarian.
John Davis did the Timer's report.
12:56 Toastmaster announced that Best Speaker is Fabio, and Best Evaluator Darcy.
13:00 Toastmaster welcomed to the lectern the President, Darcy Konold.
13:00 Darcy invited new guests to share their meeting impressions.
13:04 Darcy adjourned the meeting.

WOW: Spelunker - A person who explores caves as a hobby. Ex. Purdue University hired a spelunker to crawl inside a hypersonic wind tunnel to clean the inside walls.

The meeting was called by the Sergeant at Arms, Alfred, at 12:05, and was attended by twenty one members, guests and new guests, including: Rhonda Walthall, Alfred Balagtas, Matt Greenbergs, Jose de la Torre, Doug Goodman, Molly Frisbie, Hannah, Jim Tucker, Stephen Jaworski, Natalie Williams, Frida Vissuet, Joe Stewart, Jesse, Dick Larkin, James Jang, John Davis, Felipe Castro, Darcy Konold, Noel Ehlers, Don Wiggins, and Cathie Montie.
12:06 Sergeant at Arms Alfred Balagtas led the pledge of allegiance.
12:07 Alfred introduced the President Darcy Konold.
12:07 Darcy greeted the audience and welcomed the Toastmaster of the Day, Rhonda Walthall.
12:08 Rhonda greeted the audience. The Toastmaster introduced the theme of the day ("My Lucky Charm",) and WOW. ("Omen - A phenomenon or incident regarded as a prophetic sign. Rhonda welcomed guests and new guests. She invited everybody to introduce themselves using the them of the day and WOW, which were well used during the introductions.
12:22 Rhonda welcomed to the lectern Doug Goodman to present the education moment.
12:22 Doug Goodman educated the audience in how important are the following percentage in a public speech:
55% Body, 38% Voice and 7% Words
12:27 Toastmaster introduced the first scheduled speaker, Dick Larkin. Dick presented his ATMS #10. Dick's presentation enlightened the audience with the topic "The Power of Written Words."
12:38 Toastmaster introduced the second scheduled speaker, Don Wiggins. Don's speech was a very interesting topic about "The Super Energy Highway."
12:50 Rhonda announced that we are not having a TOT.
12:50 Rhonda introduced the General Evaluator of the Day, Jim Tucker.
12:51 Jim called his team of evaluators:
Joe Stewart evaluated Dick Larkin.
Frida Evaluated Don Wiggins.
Alfred was was the Grammarian.
Darcy did the Timer's report.
13:00 Toastmaster announced that Best Speaker is Dick Larkin, and Best Evaluator Alfred.
13:02 Announcements: March 18th, Saturday at 12:00 noon is the International Contest. AND, PAY TM DUES.
13:04 Darcy adjourned the meeting.

The meeting was called by the Sergeant at Arms, Alfred, at 12:05, and was attended by nineteen members, guests and new guests, including: Rhonda Walthall, Alfred Balagtas, Matt Greenbergs, Jose de la Torre, Doug Goodman, Molly Frisbie, Hannah, Jim Tucker, Stephen Jaworski, Fabio, Florence Huang, Natalie Williams, Frida Vissuet, Paul Pitt, Joe Stewart, Juan Estrada, Jesse, and Teresa Simon.

12:05 Sergeant at Arms Alfred Balagtas led the pledge of allegiance.

12:06 Alfred introduced the VP of Education Rhonda Walthall.

12:07 Rhonda welcomed the Toastmaster of the Day, Stephen Jaworski.

12:08 Stephen greeted the audience, and commented on worldwide news. The Toastmaster introduced the theme of the day ("An the winner is",) and WOW. ("Abstinence - The trait of being difficult to handle or overcome; stubbornness. Stephen welcomed guests and new guests. He invited everybody to introduce themselves using the WOW, which was well used during the introductions.

12:25 Stephen welcomed to the lectern Frida Vissuet.

12:26 Frida shared an educational moment with the audience about small family business, and how TM has helped her in making business.

12:30 Toastmaster introduced Jim Tucker as the spontaneous speaker of the day. Jim's presentation unlighted the audience with the topic "A Coincidence."

12:40 Stephen welcomed to the lectern the Table of Topic Master, Rhonda Walthall.

12:40 Rhonda Walthall invited members and guests to share their experiences using the theme of the day:

Paul - He never wins. He told an Irish Joke.

Molly - Her movie picks: Crash, Munich and Brokeback Mountain.

Jesse - She talked about Memoirs of a Geisha.

Fabio - In the soccer game the winner wins a trophy. He believes in awards.

Alfred - The winners continually try and do not give up, even though they failed.

12:50 Stephen introduced the General Evaluator of the Day, Jose de la Torre.

12:52 Jose called his team of evaluators:

Florence evaluated Jim Tucker.

Doug Goodman was the Grammarian.

Fabio did the Timer's report.

12:54 Toastmaster announced that Molly won the TOT.

12:58 Jose announced that members are welcomed to help current officers in their positions.

13:03 Stephen announced the best evaluator, Florence.

13:04 Rhonda adjourned the meeting.
