Meeting Minutes for August 23, 2006

The meeting was called at 12:09 and was attended by thirteen members and two guests, including: Juan Estrada, Doug Goodman, Fabio Bottalico, Molly Frisbie, Matt Greenbergs, Arnold Ahyuen, Martha Lachmyer-Pome, Brenda Getting, Darcy Konold, Jennifer Ebner, Joe Stewart, Jesse Wang, and Robb Cross. Guests included Victor and Jackie.

12:09 Joe Stewart called the meeting to order and led the pledge allegiance.

12:10 Joe introduced President Darcy Konold.
Ø Darcy welcomed the audience and introduced Joe Stewart as the Toastmaster of the day. Joe introduced theme and word of the week.

12:17 Joe welcomed our guests and filled open slots for the meeting.

An Evening at the Improv and WOW- Impromptu- Prompted by the occasion rather than being planned in advance. Ex. Table Topics are a great way to practice impromptu speaking.

Lazy, Hazy, Crazy Days of Summer and WOW- Remnants- A remaining trace or survival of anything suggestive of a former condition. Ex. The remnants of the watermelon lay on the picnic table following the summer feast.
