San Diego High School is WEDNESDAY, MAY 4 not Thursday.

I misspoke when I said that the second workshop at San Diego High
School would be on May 5, because it's actually on Wednesday, May 4
from 9-11.

We had a phenomenal session today, and the seniors seemed to really
appreciate the support.

Special thanks to Jim Tucker, Stephen Jaworski, Cher Vargas and Darcy
Konold for participating today.

Anyone is welcome to attend and participate. San Diego High School is
located right at the 163 and Park Blvd between the Navy Hospital and
City College. Park in visitor parking in the front lot.

Location: When you come to the main office, tell them you're doing a
workshop in the particular school, and they'll direct you the correct
location.

San Diego High School is located at the edge of downtown San Diego,
less than a mile from historic Balboa Park, and right next to San Diego
City College.

Program:

The focus of the workshop is to help the seniors achieve the
requirement of giving an oral presentation to a panel of 5 adults.

The workshop will spend much of the time helping the students determine
what to talk about. Since they can really talk about anything, I'm
going to ask them to focus on one individual, one story or one
experience that they learned one lesson from.

After speaking with several students, I found that the subject matter
was the most challenging.

My presentation also covers:
- What to wear
- How to write an opening statement
- How to write a closing statement
- Putting together an outline
- Using props and PowerPoint

I'd like you to perhaps speak on body language, vocal variety, eye
contact, relaxing before getting up, or any other basic TM topics.

You won't really need to prepare anything. I will have handouts and a
PowerPoint outline.

My cell phone is (760) 579-1005.

Don't hesitate to ask questions.
