2005-2006 Charger Girl Speechcraft

I received the following message from Martin Olmeda requesting assistance from our club members.

DIck;   Please distribute to the entire club membership.   I have recently agreed to host a speechcraft for this years 28 charger girls.  This will be a 6 week program meeting for 1 to 1 1/2 hours one day a week.  I coordinated their first speechcraft a few years ago and they have asked Toastmasters back.   A demonstration meeting will be this weekend, Saturday (May 30th) at the Mission Valley Hilton starting at 8:15 am.  A breakfast is scheduled starting at 7:30 am.  So I'm looking for volunteers (not just the guys) to help make this a memorable and rewarding experience for the girls.  They do alot of public speaking as part of their community outreach programs.    My plan for this weekend is to do introductions about what Toastmasters is and what it can do for them.  I have asked Jim Tucker to do his award winning speech for the girls and I need an evaluator for him.  I also plan to conduct a round robin speech evaluation by the girls to Jim.  The next item is to conduct table topics and to attempt to involve as many of the 28 charger girls as possible.  The end will be a question and answer session with Tammy (their director) to answer any specifics.    At the end of the demo meeting I will meet with Tammy and setup the subsequent next 6 meetings which I would greatly fully appreciate any and all help.  I can tell you that these yound ladies are extremely bright and have amazing stories to tell you about their achievements and plans to make the world a better place.    If any Century Park Toastmaster is interested please let me know otherwise I will have to open it up to the District and I would rather have this be a club event.   Thanks in advance;   Martin Olmeda Contract Administrator/  VMS Listing Supervisor Office:     858-654-8617 Cell:        619-921-2244 Fax:        858-650-4080 Pager:     619-978-3837 MOlmeda@semprautilities.com  "You must do the thing you think you cannot do!"   Eleanor Roosevelt
